A day of learning and inspiration at Stryx Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy
Some training days stay with a gymnast for a long time. For our athletes, the masterclass with Marina Shpekht was one of them.
Stryx Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy recently welcomed Marina, an experienced rhythmic gymnastics specialist and judge, for a special masterclass. Our gymnasts spent the session learning from her up close. They watched carefully, listened closely and put every piece of advice straight into practice on the carpet.
Marina worked with the gymnasts on:
Technique and body work: cleaner balances, rotations and leaps
Apparatus handling: more precision and confidence with every throw and catch
Artistry and expression: letting the music guide each movement and bringing more feeling to the routine
The judge’s eye: what makes a routine stand out on the competition floor
All through the session, we saw the gymnasts grow in focus and in confidence. Small corrections made a big difference: a softer arm line, a sharper finish, a longer hold of a balance. By the end, many routines looked lighter, cleaner and more expressive.
Our coaches gained just as much. The masterclass was a valuable exchange of experience, and its lessons are already part of our everyday training at all our locations.
