Our under 16/18 MVP boys started the season off with a big win against the DXB Lions on Saturday, September 11th. With an 18-2 run to open up the start of the first quarter, it was clear to see these young men were eager to be out on the floor playing together once again. Each player contributed on the floor in one way or another to help solidify this team’s first win…but hard not to highlight the lights out shooting from young guard Gaurrav Upadhye, who went 4 of 5 from the corner three; and the fantastic all around play from Nadim Samara.
A late run by the lions kept it competitive in the third quarter, but by the fourth our NBA athletes were just too well coached, locked in, and pulled away to win 57 to 34.
