Different than most academies, The NBA Basketball School in Dubai has a well-designed curriculum to guide players along their path of development.  The curriculum was created by skill development experts from the NBA and United States – creating a detailed framework of development each of our players. The curriculum has been designed in four different levels; Rookie, Starter, All-Star and MVP levels.

Practices are held each week and our players take part in skills and drills for their level of play.  Players are then tested on their skills during the term to evaluate their progress. For a player to move up each level, he or she is required to take and pass the skills test for that level.  “The curriculum that our players are following provides a clear framework for their development,” commented technical director Phil Galvin. “I think there are a lot of players and parents out there that say they want to get better…but they really don’t have a plan. The NBA Basketball School in Dubai has a clearly defined road map for a motivated player to excel, no question about it.”

The drills at each level progress in difficulty as a player advances through the program, with our current MVP level players eyeing college scholarships in the near future.
